Saad Saad is a true example of a person who has taken the gifts which God has provided to himand, through hard work and determination, made the most of those gifts to better not only his own life, but also the lives of many others. Born in Palestine, and raised in Kuwait, he was one of eight children in a family which was, let us just say, less than affluent. From this humble beginning, Saad Saad went on to become an internationally recognized pediatric surgeon.
His medical education began in Egypt, where he graduated second in his class forty-seven years ago from Cairo University. After receiving his Medical Degree in Egypt and then completing his internship in England, he immigrated to the United States, where he completed his residency in general and pediatric surgery at UMDNJ-University Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Saad Saad holds a Medical License in the State of New Jersey (active through 2019), is Certified in Pediatric Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the American College of Surgeons.
Before his recent retirement, Dr. Saad was Co-Medical Director and Surgeon-in-Chief at Hackensack Meridian Health K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in New Jersey. In the course of his career, Dr. Saad Saad performed thousands of complex surgeries on children, created new, innovative pediatric surgical techniques and patented two inventions. As a testament to his caring and giving nature, it is worth noting that Dr. Saad organized eight Medical Missions to Jerusalem to perform free pediatric surgeries on poor and needy children.
The humble yet driven spirit of this great physician comes across in a recent interview he gave to IdeaMensch (see: https://ideamensch.com/saad-saad/ ). In the interview Dr. Saad Saad insists that achieving any goal is possible if one stays organized, prepares well and trusts God. Learn more: https://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-saad-saad-ys6d8
Dr. Saad Saad not only achieved many laudable goals, but also, it seems, truly found his calling in life – as a healer for God’s children. He would be the first to say that all children are equal in God’s eyes, no matter their sex, race, religion of infirmity. The world has truly been blessed by Dr. Saad’s service to humanity.
