Def Jam: Fight For NY
Platform(s)PSP, PS2, Xbox (Original), GameCube
ReleasedAugust 20, 2004
DeveloperAKI Corporation, EA Canada
Genre(s)Fighting, Wrestling

Simply known as "Trejo" in the game, Def Jam For NY marked Danny's debut in a video game, where he plays the role of a bodyguard to Crow, the leader of the appropriately named Crow's Crew. Players will be tasked with going up against Trejo as a miniboss early on in the game's story but, even after he's beaten down, he still proves to be a thorn in the players' side on several different occasions later on.

Though his appearances are only brief, it's still evident Trejo is not someone to be taken lightly, with the actor himself doing an excellent job with the voice acting to make the character feel as devious and dangerous as possible. Considering the game released in 2004, long before motion capture reached mainstream popularity, it's remarkable just how accurately developers AKI managed to capture Danny's iconic look in the game through this memorable character.

OlliOlli World
Platform(s)Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Switch, PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox One
ReleasedFebruary 8, 2022
Developer(s)Roll7
Genre(s)Platformer, Sports

OlliOlli World is a 2D platformer skating game where the player must take on objectives, interact with NPCs, and pull off some flashy combo moves to ramp up their score meter in each level. The world itself is extremely vibrant and full of color, but this also goes for the characters too, including Danny Trejo himself, who can be found in the game's final world, Los Vulgas.

When players jump onto the B.B's Burgers level, players will run into a skater-iteration of Danny Trejo, who will provide them with one of the toughest challenges in the entire game. It's well worth trying to complete this track though, as it will reward the player with an eerily realistic Trejo mask which can be worn while skating around. This is an incredibly fun version of Trejo, which caught many people by surprise because of how random it is, but he's certainly a welcome addition to the already lovable cast of characters.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops (Call Of The Dead)

Playing As Trejo In A Zombie Apocalypse Is As Cool As It Sounds

Call of Duty: Black Ops
Platform(s)Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo DS
ReleasedNovember 9, 2010
Developer(s)Treyarch
Genre(s)FPS

By the time the Call of the Dead zombies map was released to the public in Call of Duty: Black Ops, fans had already grown accustomed to the classic characters of Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofen. As a result, Treyarch decided to mix things up for this horror-movie-inspired map by allowing players to assume control of one of four horror legends, including Danny Trejo himself. The intro to the map features tons of references to Trejo's past works, and even sees him sporting his classic dual-wield machetes which he uses to slice numerous zombies to pieces.

In the game itself, Trejo acts quite differently to specific members of the group. While he has a lot of respect for Sarah Michelle Gellar, he also often goes out of his way to mock Robert Englund, who he sees as being too weak to survive the apocalypse. It's a shame he isn't able to use his machetes in-game, but being able to play such a highly-admired movie star in a zombie mode is still a huge treat.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Dwight Mendez Steals The Show

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Platform(s)Xbox Series X, PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox One
ReleasedJanuary 26, 2024
Developer(s)Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio
Genre(s)RPG

Once Ichiban and the gang arrive in Hawaii at the beginning of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, it quickly becomes clear that not everything is as it seems. It's not long before they come to learn about the Barracudas, a criminal organization run by a merciless killer known as Dwight Mendez, who is mo-capped and voiced by Danny Trejo. It's hard to understate just how incredible Trejo's performance is here, doing an excellent job at making his character feel like a dangerous, sadistic and bloodthirsty leader who will gladly cut down anyone who gets in the way of him and his gang's plans.

In classic Like A Dragon fashion, he also gets involved in some truly epic boss fights, including one where he gets the chance to fend off a shark with his own machetes. Trejo's appearance in this game is more than a quick cameo, as Dwight actually plays a big role in the story and, needless to say, he knocked it out of the park with his performance, not that anyone would expect anything else from such a seasoned veteran.
