Disney Dreamlight Valley Thrills and Frills update is now available for download across all platforms. This major release introduces a wide array of free content and the next act of the Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion pass, among other notable changes.
Gameloft's open-world life sim has been officially released in December 2023 following 15 months of early access. Its market debut was accompanied by the launch of Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time, the game's first paid expansion. The DLC's inaugural act debuted the Eternity Isle location and three new Villagers.
Six months later, Gameloft is following up on that release with the debut of the expansion's second act, incorporated into the newly released Thrills and Frills update. Called The Spark of Imagination, Act 2 introduces a new storyline that will pick up where A Rift in Time left off in December. Aside from new quests and puzzles, the expansion pass now offers additional upgrades for Disney Dreamlight Valley's Time Bending Station and Royal Hourglass.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is also joining the game's cast as part of the update. This addition shouldn't come as a surprise to the most attentive of fans, as Gameloft has been teasing the arrival of this classic 1927 character to Disney Dreamlight Valley for a while now. One of Walt Disney's earliest creations, this mute rabbit will assist players in their efforts to oppose Jafar, the Royal Vizier of Agrabah.
The May 1 update also has no shortage of free new content to enjoy, starting with the return of Daisy Duck to the game's eponymous valley. This move will provide players with the opportunity to help her reconnect with Donald Duck through a series of quests. Daisy will also bring new friendship items with her, as well as yet another building type, the Boutique. Much like its name implies, this facility will be used for showcasing fashion, in addition to allowing players to share their designs with others.
The latest Disney Dreamlight Valley patch notes also reveal the arrival of another Star Path. Called A Day at Disney, the new seasonal mission board will walk players through the process of building their own Dreamlight Park with a wide variety of attractions and items inspired by Toy Story Land and Mickey's Toontown. Additional Dream Styles based on the Storybook Circus from Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom are also part of the package, as are new clothing and furniture pieces inspired by Disney Parks.
Disney Dreamlight Valley offers players a mix between a life sim and an adventure game, all within the magical world of Disney! Surrounded by fan favorite characters like Wall-e and Belle, players can do quests and explore new areas to help out around town. When there isnt an adventure going on, players can take a break by changing up their style, going fishing, cooking, crafting, and more.
The ultimate edition of the game is an especially good deal, as it includes every exclusive cosmetic item from the standard and deluxe editions, and starts players off with an extra 20,000 Moonstones.
