IRELAND'S BAMBIE THUG STORMS INTO EUROVISION FINAL AFTER SCINTILLATING SEMI-FINAL PERFORMANCE

Bambie Thug gave a sensational performance and qualified for the Eurovision final at the song contest's semi-final.

The gothic non-binary artist performed their track Doomsday Blue to hundreds of thousands of fans in Malmo, Sweden last night.

This marks the first time since 2018 that Ireland will have a chance at being crowned Eurovision winners in the final on Saturday night. Earlier in the evening, the 31-year-old expressed their pride at representing their country on such a global platform, reports the Irish Mirror.

"I'm so proud and so excited to represent Ireland tonight," they said.

The Co Cork singer was among the ten acts to qualify from the first semi-final on Tuesday night at the Malmö Arena.

Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Finland, Cyprus, Croatia, and Luxembourg also qualified for Saturday's final.

The second semi-final takes place on Thursday night when Armenia, Albania, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, Greece, Malta, Switzerland, Belgium, Estonia, Israel, Georgia, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, and San Marino will compete for the 10 places available.
