COMEDIANS TAYLOR WILLIAMSON, JOEY BRAGG & BETTY THE CHIHUAHUA SET COMEDY PODCAST ‘ALMOST ALPHA'
EXCLUSIVE: 7EQUIS, the creative team behind the comedy podcast Bad Friends with Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino, is launching its newest comedy series Almost Alpha with rising comics and long-time friends Taylor Williamson and Joey Bragg.
Almost Alpha is a comedy podcast hosted by two best buddies-and a 4.6-pound chihuahua named Betty, who keeps the guys grounded with her female pawspective as they discuss the most beta things in a totally alpha way.
“We are so excited to make people laugh and smile with us and help them forget about their worries in these crazy times for an hour every week… And to make them feel terrible for not being as alpha as we are!” Williamson shared in a statement.
“Woof” added Betty emphatically in a rare statement to the press.
"I wholeheartedly believe that what the world needs right now is love, patience and a hard reset. But I can't do any of that so instead I decided to monetize my friendship and start a podcast,” Bragg shared.
Since launching Bad Friends with co-hosts Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino in February 2020, 7EQUIS has helped build the show to reach over 15 million monthly fans across YouTube and audio and toured 59 US cities with its first international tour on the horizon. The company is building a destination for up-and-coming comedy creators with the launch of the 7EQUIS YouTube channel and its newest show Almost Alpha featuring Taylor Williamson and Joey Bragg.
Williamson is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer who was runner-up on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. His new comedy special Live at The Comedy Store is streaming on YouTube. He’s been featured on podcasts like WTF with Marc Maron and Bad Friends with Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino.
Williamson created and starred in unscripted formats that have sold to Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery, among others. On the stand-up front, he will headline The Elysian Theater as part of the Netflix is a Joke Festival on May 12. He is currently shopping his latest project Bone Appetit, a comedic dog food cooking series with Ginger Gonzaga (She-Hulk, True Lies) and Love Productions (The Great British Bake Off, The Great American Baking Show). He is repped by Myman Greenspan Fox.
Betty is a chihuahua rescued from a hoarding situation. She likes to be carried and fed by her assistant Taylor Williamson. She is currently seeking representation.
Bragg has been a comedian for over half his life. Starting at the age of 13, he became a regular at all the clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area. At 16, he moved to Los Angeles for a starring role in the Disney Channel show Liv and Maddie. He went on to star in multiple films like Netflix's Father Of The Year, Sid is Dead, and Mark and Russel's Wild Ride.
Additional credits include Criminal Minds, Wet Hot American Summer, Love Daily and multiple other shows he doesn't feel are notable enough to mention. He recently played Freddie Raines in the ABC sitcom Call Your Mother. He is repped by Mainstay, Paradigm and Mark S. Temple.
