MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN SEASON 2 GETS TRAILER AND PREMIERE DATE
It has been announced when the second season of My Adventures with Superman will debut on Adult Swim, and the wait won't be for much longer. A new trailer has also been released to hype the second season.
As announced by Adult Swim on Tuesday, Season 2 of My Adventures with Superman will be premiering on Saturday, May 25, at midnight ET/PT. The premiere will see two episodes airing back-to-back with one new episode released each Saturday thereafter. New episodes are also made available for streaming the next day on Max. 'Spoiler!': Superman Star Responds After James Gunn Shares Cryptic Green Lantern Tease
James Gunn is getting DC fans talking with a vague post for Green Lantern on social media.The official logline for Season 2 reads, "In the latest season, the three best friends face a host of new threats. Powerful foes will emerge from Clark’s alien past, Amanda Waller will take aim at Superman, Lois will grapple with the future, and Jimmy Olsen will spend an unbelievable amount of money. Krypton is coming for our young heroes, and its arrival will test their strength, loyalty, and love like never before."
The voice cast includes Jack Quaid (The Boys) as Clark Kent/Superman, Alice Lee (Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist) as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen. Jake Wyatt (Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus) and Brendan Clogher (Voltron: Legendary Defender) are showrunners. Wyatt and Clogher also executive produce with Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!). It was developed by Jake Wyatt, Brendan Clougher, and Josie Campbell.
Superman's Newest Actor Played an Important Role in The Walking Dead
James Gunn's Superman finally found its Jonathan Kent, and the actor set to play him created a domino effect on The Walking Dead in its second season."Stay tuned for Season 2," co-producer and writer Josephine Campbell previously teased of Season 2 in a Superman Homepage interview. "We got the wonderful task of being able to make them both around the same time, and I'm very excited about this. There's so much stuff in season two that I think is gonna blow people's minds. So yeah, just stay tuned, keep watching."
On potentially continuing on with the series for a third season and beyond, Campbell also noted, "We have so many plans. We've got lots. We've got seasons upon seasons figured out. [Storyboard artist Brendan Clogher]'s got a whole board in his house that's got all these ideas, so we could keep going."
Superman Fans Have a Lot to Anticipate
The series is not connected to the DCEU and is set in its own standalone world. It comes at a time when there are plans to bring the superhero back to the big screen. Currently, James Gunn is working on Superman, a live-action movie set to hit theaters in Summer 2025.
The second season of My Adventures with Superman debuts on May 25, 2024.
