The Last of Us Season 2 is well underway as fans of the franchise wait with bated breath to get a glimpse of how HBO will play out Part 2. We've already seen a ton of sneak peeks of what's in store, like who will be cast for season 2 and that iconic Ellie and Dina church scene.
However, it seems as though we aren't done just yet with getting a look at how Jackson is being constructed in newly sourced drone shots as we prepare ourselves for more heartache and trauma, hopefully, next year when it airs.
If season one is anything to go by, showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are brewing up something very special for The Last of Us fans. As Kaitlyn Dever jumps into the shoes of Abby Anderson, the chemistry between Dina and Ellie has been on point since Isabela Merced and Bella Ramsey first met, so we can expect this season to truly blow our socks off. Although we still don't know where the series will head in terms of what exactly we will see from Part 2, getting glimpses of Jackson from the air is giving fans life right now.
According to The Last of Us News' Twitter account, new drone shots of Jackson being constructed in Britannia Beach/Squamish, Canada have been unearthed. The shots show a top-down view of Jackson being put together by a lush forest and, if you look close enough, you can see the stables running alongside the wall of the gate, coupled with bars and shops that will be similar to what was shown in season one.
Although much of Jackson in season one was filmed in Canmore, Alberta, building an entirely new remote set seems like a better idea rather than shutting down a whole town this time. Unfortunately for HBO, they can never get away from prying eyes - luckily for us. In The Last of Us Part 2, there was a five-year time jump from when we saw Ellie and Joel arrive at Jackson in Part 1, so this is something that we will also experience in season 2 of HBO's The Last of Us, although how it will be done is still a surprise that Mazin and Druckmann will unlikely disclose until its release.
