YOUNG SHELDON'S SPINOFF GETS FIRST TEASER TRAILER MONTHS AHEAD OF PREMIERE

A teaser trailer has been released for Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. The series serves as a spinoff and direct follow-up to Young Sheldon and will debut on CBS in the fall.

Ahead of the series finale of Young Sheldon, CBS dropped the first teaser trailer for George & Mandy's First Marriage. It consists of series stars Montana Jordan and Emily Osment teasing what fans can expect from the new series. The teaser also includes a snippet of Georgie telling Mandy in their car, "Georgie and Mandy Cooper, I'd go to a barbecue at their house!" Fans can watch the teaser below.

Young Sheldon Star Teases a 'Very Emotional' Series Finale

Young Sheldon star Raegan Revord promises fans that they will be happy with how the final episodes wrap up the show's many storylines.

"I'm excited about this new journey," Jordan also said in the video. Osment added, "We're grateful that we get the opportunity to continue these characters, and continue this story. I think it's going to be really fun."

Georgie and Mandy Get Their Own Series

Per the official logline, the spinoff will follow Georgie and Mandy "as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage." While the series will focus mostly Georgie and Mandy with their new family life together, the door seems to be open for other characters to appear. However, things will never be the same after Young Sheldon, given how Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) is heading off to California and would likely only be seen seldomly, if at all. Family patriarch George Cooper (Lance Barber) is also expected to pass away by the season's end.

Young Sheldon Star Addresses Mandy's Future in Upcoming Spinoff

Emily Osment shares an update on the Young Sheldon spinoff series focusing on Georgie and Mandy.

"I would love to [and] I definitely want to," Missy Cooper actor Raegan Revord recently told Screen Rant about a possible return in the new show. She'd go on to add, "I love Missy dearly. She's the first big character I've played and I felt I fell in love with her right off the bat from the audition. And so I definitely would love to return to her at some point."

Young Sheldon will be closing out in a big way. It's been revealed that Jim Parsons will return for the show's series finale to play the older version of Sheldon Cooper, most likely for a flash-forward scene to help tie up the story. Mayim Bialik is also returning as Sheldon's wife, Amy.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage is set to debut on CBS in Fall 2024. The series finale of Young Sheldon will be premiering on Thursday, May 16, on CBS.
